This is a 1.75 inch x 1.25 inch authentic sterling silver antique Flaming Sacred Heart known as an ex-voto suscepto milagro (which means miracles from the vow made in gratitude and devotion) . An ex-voto is an offering to a saint or divinity for fulfillment of a vow. Ex-votos are traditionally placed in a church where the worshiper seeks grace and/or to give thanks. They are also used hung around Statues and on altars. There is a hole made in the upper section for hanging or wearing. This is a very lightweight vintage handcrafted piece. These are a highly popular form of gratitude, devotion and Grace in Latin America.
