An ex-voto is an offering to a saint or divinity for fulfillment of a vow. Ex-votos are traditionally placed in a church where the worshiper seeks grace and/or to give thanks. They are also used hung around Statues and on altars. There is a hole made in the upper section for hanging or wearing.
